Description
Diners Shutdown Spring 2020. This is a Historic Event in over 50 years. Usually the American Diner is our go to place when the plumbing, water or range isn't working. Not this Spring, the coronavirus shutdown has impacted the boxcar retro diners. All around that state of NJ the diners are shutdown, closed, and empty parking lots.
Six B&W photographs transformed into a Diner Shutdown Photo Story during Covid 2020 by GJ glorijean.
2020 FEATURED in:

* Lady Photographers, 05/15/2020
* Text Art, 05/14/2020
This historic moment in time since the 1950s in over 70 years this is the first times diners have been shutdown or closed especially for an extensive period, over 2 months now in NJ. This collection and collage of photographs was taken to showcase the diners with empty parking lots.
This photographic collage is intended to showcase the stark, bleak, black & white times for diners this spring, without color. Photographs and Design by GJ glorijean, May 2020.

It is historic! Driving to some 20+ diners already seeing them closed is historic in time since post WWII, even the remodeled into modern bldgs are totally closed. Some are offering takeout, a few delivery. ThxU for seeing my new photostory & collection. GJ

This is an outstanding image of photojournalism that is, sadly, happening now. The collage is perfect in black and white. l/f/tw

Thank YOU so much Toni... Appreciating you see where I am going w this... Still in progress... It'd be great if this photostory could stand on its own, and accompany/inspire a real journalist story w/ my photo credit/sold. GJ
